Having more than 55 million subscribers worldwide, Amazon Music changes the way people think what a music platform can do. It provides the best music streaming service to the users, and keeps enriching the functions on the app. People can use Amazon Music in a variety of ways, including Amazon Echo and apps for the Android and Apple systems.

Amazon Music has Never Stopped
Since it was established in September 2007, Amazon Music, a music streaming platform and online music store, has never stopped its path to improve its functions. Compared to other music streaming platforms, Amazon Music enhances its user experience by cooperating with its product—Amazon Echo, also known for its virtual assistance named Alexa. With this function, users can simply say, "Alexa, play my favorite playlist," to listen to the music instead of tapping on their phones to open the app. Like the other music platform, Amazon Music charges a fee for using the service; however, Amazon Music challenges the industry's pricing standard, which is 9.99 U.S. dollars. In order to provide a better user experience, Amazon Music reduces the price of a monthly subscription for the prime members from 9.99 U.S. dollars to 7.99 U.S. dollars and even to 3.99 U.S. dollars for Amazon Echo users only. Moreover, in 2019, Amazon Music announced that they would provide their ad-supported music streaming service free to any Amazon Music user.
Stepping Further into the Consumer Audio market
Recently, podcasts have become viral among people of every age. Amazon Music pays attention to it as well. According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Amazon Music is in talks to acquire Wondery, which is one of the world’s largest independent podcast publishers. Famous for its shows such as Blood Ties, Dying for Sex, and Dirty John, Wondery currently has more than 100 podcasts. The joining of Wondery can surely become a strength of Amazon Music and also enable Amazon Music to provide its service to more people.

Amazon Music Holiday Plays
Earlier this year, Amazon Music announced there would be a brand new holiday concert series held every Tuesday at 8 pm, starting from December 1 to December 15. The host is Lil Nas X, an American rapper, singer, and songwriter, and he has also been invited to perform at the concert. Holiday Plays kicked off with Miley Cyrus and Lil Nas X in their performances on December 1. That was also both the first release date of their new albums. Miley Cyrus, as a famous American singer and actress, brought her new album named Plastic Hearts to the stage. She performed a mix of songs, including “Prisoner,” “Midnight Sky,” and “Plastic Hearts.” As the Grammy Award-winning artist, Lil Nas X also presented a surprising show to all audiences, performing the new single named “Holiday” for the first time. Fans from all over the world can stream the concert on the Amazon Music app or the Amazon Music channel.
