Qualcomm is launching its new IoT (Internet of Things) service -- Qualcomm IoT Services Suite, for building smarter and more digital cities and spaces.
The world-leading wireless telecommunication manufacturer has launched its new IoT Services Suite, providing solutions in the fields of education, logistics, construction management, and healthcare.

A Cross-Field IoT Service
On December 9, 2020, in San Diego time, Qualcomm announced its newly built IoT services: Qualcomm IoT Services Suite. The suite combines a comprehensive, end-to-end IoT, and integrated functions into the services. It enables the cities to become smarter and improves on its transformation in digital systems. The service can also connect through cities and places globally, making the user experience smoother. Qualcomm IoT Services Suite employs five smart applications and unifies its cross-vertical services including: Smart Cities and Spaces, Education, Construction Management, Logistics, and Healthcare service.
Smart Cities and Spaces Service as-a-Service delivers the solutions for smart lighting, signage, parking, etc., with the deployment of Zyter SmartSpaces platform.
Education as-a-Service enables school districts in the US to access OneScreen and HoverCam to provide the students with smart classrooms and hybrid learning facilities.
Construction Management as-a-Service focuses on the workers’ safety on construction sites and allows digital management with the cooperation of Everguard.
Logistics as-a-Service provides the users digital, end-to-end logistical chain management from the inventory with Cloudleaf Inc. and Tag-N-Trac Inc.
Healthcare as-a-Service enables access to ecosystems such as Zyter, LucidAct Health, VeeMed, Ceiba for remote patient monitoring and tele-ICU capacities.
With the corporation of other ecosystems and platforms, Qualcomm achieves the goal of providing the most upgraded services and systems to the industry. These IoTaaS (Internet of Things as-a-Service) proves the potential and accessibility of Qualcomm IoT Services Suite. To exemplify its service, Qualcomm launched the Qualcomm Smart Campus in San Diego as a model for Qualcomm IoT Services Suite. The environment of Qualcomm Smart Campus includes a 5G network including smart parking, lighting, transporting, logistics, trash cans, and edge-AI security cameras. The entire service system corresponds to a control center that operates the whole network and IoT devices.

The Qualcomm IoT Services Suite is a continued impetus of the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program. The service offers digital system comprehensive solutions on the complexities and challenges of connecting spaces across the industry more secure and smart worldwide. The companies and cities that utilize the service will be able to overcome the common spatial difficulties such as ineffective facilities and systems. The service provides an easier, quicker, and more cost-effective system to connect digital services to spaces.
